On March 31, 2023 Douyin “Xiangxi Night Carnival” drew to a successful end with the first round of vouchers issued by Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture Government.
As the first activity to boost consumption in Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture in 2023, the vouchers with a total value of 1 million yuan were issued, which generated 4.3 million yuan online trading orders through group buying on Douyin for the offline stores involved in the activity and created over 20 million yuan of in-store consumption.
There were a total of 57,200 discount vouchers issued in this activity, including four denominations from 5 yuan to 80 yuan. Citizens could log in to Douyin to scramble for the coupons and use them in the offline stores. Then, consumers could enjoy the online group buying discounts of stores and the vouchers issued by the government at the same time. Two kinds of vouchers are added to help businesses and benefit people.
More than 200 offline stores in Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture participating in the activity covered restaurants, hotels, scenic areas and real industries related to the nighttime economy, which fully met the diversified consumption needs of citizens.
The activity was promoted through some influencers and new media, attracting wide attention. A total of over 10,000 short videos and tweets were released, and the cumulative number of views of these short videos and tweets reached nearly 30 million. Meanwhile, a number of popular stores emerged.
The Commerce Bureau of Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture is now preparing to issue 2 million yuan of car vouchers to support the Xiangxi Spring Car Show to be held from April 14 to April 17. Citizens can enjoy up to 4,000 yuan of vouchers for each car.
